SSAFA Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association) Forces Help
| This national charity helps serving and ex-Service men, women and their families, including widows and widowers in need.
SSAFA has a Division in Woking, co-ordinated by Bernard Allen. If you need help, either for yourself or for someone you care for, or if you would like to become a volunteer, contact SSAFA by telephone on 01483 767198, or by email: bernard.allen@lineone.net Website: www.ssafa.org.uk
Fortunately many serving and retired Servicemen and women are active and well, and often volunteer to provide help to others, but for those who need assistance SSAFA can offer financial and non-financial help. In many cases SSAFA works closely with the Council, Social Services and other local organisations. In all cases they provide a local caseworker, working without charge, in complete confidence and in the comfort of your own home. They will help to assess your needs and advise and assist you in getting help.
